SECULUX from Vellhaven is made to change how a space feels once the daylight goes. It does one job, and it does it without asking much of you.
Light changes a room more cheaply than furniture does, which is the whole argument for this. The output is warm rather than clinical, so it flatters a space in the evening instead of flattening it. Fitting is straightforward and does not call for a specialist. It is bright enough to be useful and soft enough to sit with, which is a harder balance than it sounds. Follow the supplied instructions when installing, and switch off at the mains before fitting or cleaning. What is the housing made of?
Aluminium. It handles outdoor conditions and heat far better than plastic, which is why the fitting still looks and works the same after a few seasons on an exposed wall.
Is there a bulb to replace?
No. The LED is built in, so there is no re-lamping and no trips up a ladder to change a bulb on an outside wall. Fit it once and it runs.
How is it installed?
It is a wall mounted fitting. Switch off at the mains, follow the supplied instructions and fix it at a height where the sensor sees the approach rather than the sky.
